Tina + Dongmin at the Brooklyn Winery
You won't want to miss these engagement photos with the New York City skyline as their backdrop. Tina and Dongmin not only had their Paebaek ("pyebaek", "폐백") with us but also decided to do their engagement shoot with their custom-made Hanboks by BDK MINT. I love how their photos capture their personalities!
About a month later, they had their wedding at the Brooklyn Winery where they had their Korean traditional Paebaek ("pyebaek", "폐백") during their cocktail hour in front of all of their friends and family!
First, we helped them get ready for the ceremony..
The adults are patiently waiting for the start of the Paebaek adorned in their beautiful custom-made Hanboks by us!
Now, we are ready to begin with the bride and groom's entrance.
Of course, the throwing of chestnuts and dates which will determine how many children they will have in the future.
Everyone is having such a great time watching!
Afterwards, the bride and groom change for the reception. Tina decided to keep on her beautiful jewel-toned Hanbok.
All Hanboks are made by us with 100% silk fabrics right in our shop.

This is what Tina had to say: "It was super important to us that we shared our Korean culture with all of our guests. We got hanboks from bdkmint for our engagement photos, and they turned out so amazing and beautiful. On our actual wedding day, the paebaek ceremony was THE highlight from our wedding - everyone kept telling us how unexpectedly fun and beautiful the entire thing was. It was an honor sharing my culture with our guests, and bdkmint was a huge part in making that happen, from the beautiful hanboks to Jessica’s great translations and explanations. My mom also looked amazing in her hanbok - she was the star of the night!"
